Nap time dress-ups

I had to take this picture of Evie with her Cinderella crown, wand and shoes on, she loves to wear them all day, even during nap time! So adorable!

Evie turns 2!

I can't believe my baby is now 2 years old! As far as I'm concerned she can stay right here, she is at such a cute age and we all are enjoying her so much! We celebrated her birthday on Monday night March 9th (a little early because Daddy was going out of town). We invited family over for dinner and celebration. Evie was all about being the birthday girl! When it came to singing happy birthday, Evie sang right out loud along with the rest of us, and she knew just when it was time to blow out the candles, (she has been practicing for weeks). The very first present she opened was a Cinderella wand, crown and high heel shoes that the Raddons gave to her. She was totally captivated by her new dress ups and couldn't take her eyes off the wand. She left them on the entire night until it was time to go to bed and cried when she couldn't wear them anymore. I did let her sleep with her wand and that seemed to help comfort her sadness. "2" cute!!!

Grandma's Apron

We went to Grandma and Grandpa Buswell's house the first weekend in March to help prune the apple trees. While the boys were outside pruning, Evie and I stayed inside to spend time with Grandma Buswell and help her clean. Grandma was so cute with Evie and got out the baby dolls and clothes and played dolls with Evie. After a while Evie caught a glimpse of Great Grandma's apron and thought it must be a dress and insisted that she wear it! She was in heaven with baby dolls and her new "dress". So fun to have my kids spend time with their Great Grandparents!

Our little girly girl!

Evie has been obsessed with dressing up lately. It all started when Aunt Trish gave her "dress-up" dress for Christmas! Now she goes to her closet everyday, (or several times a day) to find a dress to wear. She says "dance, dance" and points to the dress of her choice. This can be quite the process sometimes because she just can't decide with all of her many options... (thanks to Aunt Trish, Aunt Aleese and a little shopping of my own), she has way too many choices. I didn't realize that little girls started dressing up so early and she definately prefers a dress over pants any day. Once the dress is on she goes straight to the mirror in my room to see herself and poses in the mirror, it is so funny! She just cracks me up with her little girly ways. She loves purses, shoes, jewelry, hats and can be found wearing or holding one of these items constantly. She is always singing and dancing and is really a little girl after my own heart... and I love it!!!

So Sweet!

Evie hasn't been feeling that good and this particular day she was being fussy and sad. Haden came home from school and she was so happy to see him, she crawled right up on his lap and cuddled with him. It put a smile back on her face, it was so sweet! She is so cute with Haden, she adores all of her brothers and they really adore her!

Two peas in a pod

Stratton and Tyler are really two peas in a pod, they love all the same things! They always have so much fun together. They are both very creative and enjoy making things, drawing, cutting, coloring, pasting, etc. They decided to make puppets and were totally into it... I love watching their little creative minds at work! They are such good buddies... so glad they have eachother!

Favorite pastime

I love this picture of Andrew with two things he loves, reading books and the exercise ball. He loves to do tricks on the exercise ball and he loves reading, but put the two together and he's in heaven. Right now he is reading the Harry Potter series and is on book 4. He even uses his feet to do tricks with the ball while reading, it really is quite entertaining to watch. He is really into the Harry Potter books, after Haden begged him to read them for a couple of years and finally gave up on the idea, Andrew decided to pick them up on his own, and has been reading them nonstop ever since!

1st official haircut

Evie has had a couple little trims, but this was her first official haircut at the salon! She has such awesome hair for her age, it's so long and beautiful, I love it! I decided to try bangs on her and Becca cut her hair to frame her face, she styled and flipped it with a flat iron, I think it turned out so cute! Evie was so good through the whole haircut (with the help of some candy sweetarts Becca had in her drawer). She tilted her head and looked at herself in the mirror, so girly!
