Talent Show

Haden and Kaiden were in the Legacy Jr. High talent show on March 12th. Leading up to the Talent show was quite the experience... they changed almost daily what they were going to do, I don't think I've ever seen Haden so stressed out! He wanted it to be amazing and he felt like they just weren't finding the right fit. Anyway, not a moment too soon, (or too late, however you want to look at it), they figured out what they were going to do at about 8:00 p.m. the night before the show (Haden does work well under pressure, but really? New act the night before?) Anyway he asked Troy and I to come down and give them some feedback after they performed it for us. We thought it was great! They did a comedy act that included some background guitar. They did an awesome job! It was entertaining and funny and showed off their musical skills as well as their acting skills. So it was the perfect combination! Everyone loved it! Good call boys!!

Fun, "almost Spring" day!

March 9th we had Spring fever! So we went to Arctic Circle then off to the park to eat and play! Parker and Stratton wanted to eat their lunch atop the climbing rock. Before long, a seagull started to circle around them inching closer and closer to their food, it made the boys so nervous! So they quickly devoured their food so the bird wouldn't stalk them anymore. The sun was shining when we first go there so it felt pretty warm, but soon the sun went behind the clouds and the wind started to blow and it got cold fast! But the cold didn't stop them, the kids had a great time anyway! Can't wait for warmer weather... hopefully soon!!

Sleeping on the job!

Stratton fell asleep reading his "homework" books for school. During reading books with him, I ran downstairs for just a second to check on Evie, when I came back upstairs he was out cold in what looked like an uncomfortable position... I wonder if he was tired?

Willy Wonka Kids

March 5, 2010. Stratton was in the Sand Springs Elementary school musical "Willy Wonka Kids". He was a squirrel along with about 20 other kindergartners. It was so adorable! He makes the cutest squirrel with his chubby cheeks! He went to early morning and after school practices for a few weeks. He had such a good attitude and never complained about all the practices. He was excited to perform and just lit up when he saw us in the audience. They had 3 performances in one day. It was a long day but he did great!

Obsessed!

Evie has been obsessed with wearing her swimsuit lately. She looks adorable in it, but since it's still so cold outside we have to limit it to indoors only! When she want to go outside she has to change into "warmer" clothes and but she doesn't give up the swimsuit easily, it can be drama!

Lunch Anyone?

Evie and Stratton are always coming up with ideas! This day they decided to use the barstools as their own personal tables and pull up the kitchen table chairs to enjoy a yummy lunch of pizza and grapes... one of their favorites! I love how they get along so well and have so much fun together!

Troy conquerer of the Great White North

In February 2010 we went on our annual snowmobiling trip up to the Uintah's and Grandpa's cabin. Although this year rendered the least amount of snow that we have ever seen up there
we still managed to have a great time. This year along with our friends Andy Eberhardt and son Kade, we also had the pleasure of the Danny Harris family along as well. This marks our 7th year going snowmobiling, and over the years we have gotten better at the logistics and better at enjoying the many wonders that the mountains have at this time of year.

6th Grade Lip Sync

Andrew and Conner performed together for the 6th grade Lip Sync to the C.O.P.S. Theme Song; "Bad Boys". They did an awesome job! They totally got into their characters and it was really funny! Conner was the cop and Andrew was the criminal. They came up with all of their own choreography and costumes.
We had planned a snowmobiling trip for the same day. When Andrew found this out, he was bummed because he wanted to be both places. He decided to stay back and perform with Conner because it was important to him; they have been practicing for a long time and and he wanted to be there for Conner. I was proud of him because he loves snowmobiling so much. Anyway, I checked him out of school right after the performance and we headed up to the cabin.
