Spring Flowers

I love spring time! The pansies, daffodils and tulips I planted in the fall turned out so beautiful!

Joseph Smith Memorial

During the week of Spring Break the Watts and the Browns invited us to come with them to the Joseph Smith movie playing at the Joseph Smith Memorial Blg. My kids were all excited to go. It's fun because we have kids similar ages! We love these two families and were so happy to spend the afternoon with them! Tammy and I have been spending a lot of time together lately...she is the Stake YW President and our kids...Haden and McKenna are the leads in the school musical. We have been lucky to have known the Browns for a long time and they were even in our ward for a short time before it split. The movie was fantastic as always, we left full of the spirit! I can't think of a better way to spend time with friends!

Bath Time Blunder

Avery loves the bath! This was very evident this day when she jumped in when I turned my back for a split second to get Evie's towel. She didn't mind , clothes and all! Since she was already in, I let them play for a bit. Avery knows what she wants and she doesn't waste any time!! Cute Cousins!Posted by Picasa

Random April Pics

We had the opportunity to tend this cute guinea pig "Alvin" for the Bells while they were in California for Spring Break. Stratton was hired to take care of the guinea pig. He was so excited and took great care of Alvin. He would run downstairs first thing in the morning and feed Alvin his carrots, lettuce, hay and "pet" food. He would change his water everyday and hold Alvin at least once a day. Evie was just as excited and helped in the care taking. Stratton earned $10 for taking care of Alvin and wants to put that money toward a guinea pig of his own. He definately proved he can take care of a pet. The kids were sad to see him go, we had him for 7 days. The other pictures in this collage are of a trip to McDonald's. There happened to be a Dad there who was making balloon figures for the kids. He made Stratton a dinosaur and Evie a poodle, they were pretty excited about that.

"Luna"

Evie has been obsessed with horses lately. It all began when she watched the movie "Spirit" for the first time. Now she begs to watch the movie constantly and gallops all around the house while neighing like a horse. She is also passionate about eating apples since horses like those too. Easter weekend, while at Grandma Langston's house we got to visit the neighbors horse "Luna". Evie was so excited to see a real horse and went back several times to visit!

Easter Egg Hunt

Easter weekend we had our annual Easter egg hunt at Grandma Langston's on Saturday. We colored eggs, ate a yummy lunch, tried to fly kites (no wind), and hunted for easter eggs. Grandma even got the "big boys" involved in the hunt by offering incentives in the eggs like $10 bills, how's that for motivation? All of the kids found tons of eggs and money. Always a fun affair!

YW General Training

The Stake YW Presidency invited us to go down to Salt Lake with them for the General YW auxiliary training. We arrived there plently early and were able to sit on the second row. It was a fantastic meeting and just the boost I needed! This is truly an exciting time to be serving in YW and I am grateful for the blessings in brings into my life. After the meeting we had the opportunity to meet Sister Dalton, the General YW President, and take our picture with her. It was a delightful day with all of these wonderful ladies. Our Stake leaders are the best and it has been so much fun getting to know them better!

A not so happy trip to the Dentist

We had known for about a month that Evie was going to have to get surgery on her teeth. This was a major shock to my system. All of my boys have had excellent teeth. And I don't feel like I've done anything different with Evie. However she had some decay on her top, front four teeth to the point that they needed crowns. I was totally devastated to say the least! They had to put her totally under and the surgery took about 1 1/2 hours. After surgery, it took her almost an hour to come out of the sedation. She was really sleepy and loopy the rest of the day. She basically slept all day. She couldn't walk straight and didn't feel like eating anything. She did finally come in the kitchen to get a drink of water. Right after she drank the water, she laid right down on the kitchen floor and fell back asleep immediately! Luckily, by the next day she was back to her usual self. Needless to say I am really strict now on what she eats and drinks and I floss her teeth everyday!
