That's Haden #50 on the Layton High Sophomore football team. We were proud that Haden made the Sophomore team as a Freshman, and also earned a starting position as right guard. He also got to play some defense at Linebacker, and started both ways for a short while. The team started out slowly, but as the season progressed they started to gel and become more effective. The last 5 games were very close and we came away with a couple of wins. There was a double overtime loss to Fremont (real heartbreaker) and a last second loss to Roy and Syracuse as well. So even though the overall record was not real exciting, we have high hopes for next year as we combine many of the same players that dominated in little league over the years. As for Haden, I think he played great! He was kind of an undersized lineman, but he made up for it in technique, speed, & hard-hitting tenacity. His coaches love him, and have made some big promises for next year if he can keep it up! Go Lancers!
